The CID has arrested content creator Touhid Afridi, an accused in the July massacre case. CID Special Police Superintendent (Media) Jasim Uddin Khan confirmed the arrest.

He was arrested from Barisal in a special operation on Sunday (August 24). The CID said that he is currently being brought to Dhaka from Barisal. He will be produced in court tomorrow.

A murder case was recently filed at Jatrabari Police Station in the anti-discrimination student movement. A total of 25 people were accused in this case. Among them, the 11th accused is Touhid Afridi.

The main accused in this case is former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The second accused is former Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and the third is former IGP of Police Abdullah Al Mamun.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) arrested Nasir Uddin Sathi, the father of accused number 22 in the case, and chairman of MyTV, on August 17. 150 other unidentified people have been named as accused in the case.
